Drove through downtown this morning and it looks like they finally got the new LED lighting up and running. They had the building alternating with about five or six different colors....interesting to see, though I think green still looks the best.
  • Paleteria La Mexicana, THOMAS OCON (guest) wrote 12 years ago:
Palateria Mexicana is the best place anyone in the D F/W areas can go to and buy popcicles (or you may call them Paletas (Pa le tass)) by just walking into their Store Front that has been in Oak Cliff for decades. Juvenal and His mother have established a Family Owned Business where you can be assured that you will be treated with respect. These are very courteous, ethical people that take pride in not only how their ice cream is made, but also, in the packaging and delivery process as well. They have brought a product that was made in Mexico for years to US, and given the US and residents here the opportunity to enjoy something that was once not available here. In when it comes to pricing, you cant get any better than this. My favorite is the coconut paleta, however, there are many flavors from watermelon, strawberry, banana, mango and many more natural flavors that are Delicious. So if you are ever over in Oak Cliff and on Jefferson Street, go by, and tell them Tombo sent you. Thanks, Thomas OCon

North end of property will be home to SMU's new tennis stadium (may it last longer than the last one), the middle a track and field practice facility to replace the one displaced by the new presidential library, and the south end will have a data center for the university's IT department.
