The exterior green night lighting is actually argon, not neon. At one point in time, there was to be a second twin tower, outlined in purple lights, but this tower was never built.

The infamous Strait Lane Chateau has a fascinating history involving oil money and an accidental fire. When the chateau burned in 2002, $44.9-million went up in smoke. Dallas architect Robbie Fursch was in tears at the news. He had conceived 10330 Strait Lane in the early 1990's for PageNet founder George Perrin, and after dumping $35-million worth of amenities into the 43,000 square foot mansion (73,000 square feet including verandas, garages, and guest houses), sold it to Dallas land investor John Lau for about $7-million. Everyone from Oprah Winfrey to Saudi princes took a look-see, but it was businessman Jean-Raymond Boulle who bought it in 2002. The blaze took 300 firefighters more than eight hours to battle. In early 2007, a hedge fund purchased the estate and again it went on the market. In May 2007, oilman John W. McReynolds, director and predisent of Energy Transfer Equity L.P, bought the estate for around $14-million. Supposdely the Strait Lane chateau will rise once again.

Walking into this building is amazing! I recently went to the Chase bank and the glass roof was spectacular! If you are in the area and the lobby is open I suggest you walk in there for the experience alone!

DaveWStorer may have been referring to the aerial imagery which is definitely out of date and shows the old configuration of the junction.

A brand new urban development still in the making. One of the most ambitious projects Dallas has ever embarked upon, Victory brings class and urban flair to what once was an abandoned power plant.

You are wrong, the image is the current High Five and was taken in December 2006. Note the star decorations and paint that were not on the old structure.
